This Is How Quickly Airborne Particles Travel
In this demonstration, Gary shows how quickly airborne particles can travel by releasing a fire extinguisher and watching the plume get carried nearly three-quarters of a mile in about 30 seconds. This location from Rocky Flats Property!
Standley Lake Meeting with Zerger Residents Click Here
The Carl Zerger Elementary property in Westminster is another example of a school site threatened by 28-40 homes, high-density housing. The 8-acre property in contract with Cardel Homes for allowing them to build houses on 4,000 sq. ft. lots smaller than the surrounding neighborhood. They are offering $45,000 per allowable constructed home per the contract 28 homes equals $1,260,000 thousand and as they are applying for the 40 homes @ 45,000 equals $1,800,000 thousand. This range for purchase is so unfair to us as residents, despite strong resident opposition and warnings about traffic, solar impact, and the long-term loss of a school site that could cost $40+ million to replace in the future. We had approximately 60 attending the meeting to show our concerns. Say “NO to COMP PLAN AMENDMENT!”

The former Zerger Elementary property is being considered for a development of roughly 40 new homes starting around $800,000, but the land is currently used as peaceful open space where neighbors walk dogs, bike, and play.
Sheridan Green: A Cautionary Example
The Sheridan Green Elementary demolition shows how quickly a neighborhood can lose a school building once the city takes over. The City spent millions of taxpayer dollars, including $3.7 million just to tear it down and expand the park, yet the land’s zoning was never changed.
